I did it!!!
5 minutes of walking then 20 minutes of jogging. Without stopping. (Except to tie a shoe. Because I figured it's better to stop to tie a shoe than to let the shoelace stop me forcefully.)
20 minutes! I didn't know how big of a deal that would be before I started this program. For me, someone who's always been a non-runner, that's a long time. I was breathing pretty darn hard by the end.
But I did it!

Yay!!! That's inspiring!
Good for you. That is awesome!
Good work Beth! I'm definitely impressed.
It is amazing isn't it! I started running last January and was proud when I hit that milestone too! Good job! My longest distance yet is 6 miles. I am trying to decide now if I can do a mini-marathon. My knees start to hurt after 5 miles...
Only problem, I havn't run in a month. I need some motivation! We have lots of family health stuff going on and I am too tired to get my butt out of bed in the morning. Plus, it's soooo dark now! I will resume after the holidays. I WILL!
Again, Yea for you!!!
That's awesome!!! Totally an accomplishment worth cheering for because I know firsthand that when I saw the c25k plan originally, that 20 minutes on w5d3 stopped me in my tracks. "Wait, what?!?! How will I possibly be ready for that?!?" But I was. And once you do that, adding the few extra minutes here and there seems easy. Good for you!
way to go! I remember that feeling of exhilaration! I came home and just said over and over and over to Joel and our friend Julian "I did it! I did it! I ran for 20 whole minutes!"
so proud of you!
That is super awesome! I am very very very impressed and super proud of you! Good for you for sticking with this and seeing it through to completion!!
Great job! I did the Couch to 5k program a few years ago myself and remember how what a milestone doing the continous run was for me.
Congratulations! :)
High-5, Beth!! 20 minutes is a HECK of a long time to jog when you are not "a runner" & just starting out! I bet you feel stonger in so many ways.
Keep up the good work!
